Throwing Open the Hangar Doors: Open Hangar Winter 2026 was a huge success!

For many, the dream of aviation, or flying for the airlines, of piloting a commercial airliner, seems like impossible goals. The training, the time building, finding your way to an airline, they seem like far-off, unachievable images.

With LIFT Academy, these are not dreams, they are realities. We train, we provide four different time building options after you graduate, and moving on to Republic is built into the equation. And with the LIFT Open Hangar events, you can wipe the clouds from your eyes and see the path to getting there.

This past week, the LIFT Academy campuses in Myrtle Beach, SC, Indianapolis, IN, and Galveston, TX opened their doors to showcase how LIFT can help you make the dreams come true. These immersive experiences invite prospective students to step inside a real LIFT℠ airplane hangar and get a hands-on feel for what pilot training is all about.

Visitors could find themselves sitting in the cockpit of our training aircraft, flying a state-of-the-art simulator, and speaking to current students and graduated pilots about the program and life as a student pilot. These Open Hangar events are more than just a tour—they are there to answer all your career planning questions.

At each event we have admissions and finance staff who can walk you through the enrollment process and funding options. Plus, you’ll hear firsthand from LIFT graduates who are now Certified Flight Instructors, as well as those who’ve advanced to First Officer and Captain roles at Republic Airways.

We also showcase how LIFT graduates are placed in a pipeline to flying for Republic Airways, via four different time-building programs and preferred onboarding at the airline upon completion. Truly these events lay out your path to a career in the skies.
