LIFT Academy, owned and operated by Republic Airways, is expanding its offerings and has created an aviation maintenance technician apprenticeship program in partnership with the U.S. Department of Labor.
The program takes less than three years to complete. Once licensed, apprentices will be Republic Ready with a direct pathway to Republic as an aviation maintenance technician. Some of the program highlights include:
Apprentices will have on-the-job training with LIFT/Republic licensed maintenance technicians. They’ll also benefit from small class sizes with one-on-one instruction and will be prepped for their A&P FAA testing.
Working with state-of-the art tools and technology, apprentices will train nose to tail on our LIFT Diamond single- and twin-engine DA40 and DA42 aircraft, as well as Republic’s fleet of Embraer 170/175 jets.
The LIFT aviation maintenance technician program is a paid apprenticeship, so participants are able to earn while they learn the latest in aviation maintenance technology. Health benefits are also part of the program. High school graduates who are mechanically inclined may find this the perfect opportunity.
Ready for your career to take off? Apply online today. First class in fall 2019 will train six students; the next class will begin in early 2020.
“We believe the joy of flight should be available to all, and by partnering with our local schools and others in our community, we are offering intellectually curious, aspiring aviators a world-class training program and a guaranteed, post-graduation pathway to a career at Republic.”
