Turkey Run State Park
The rocky canyons and beautiful sandstone cliffs located in this park will make you forget you’re even in Indiana! This incredible park is located 90 minutes from Indianapolis and has a variety of activities for perfect for every explorer. Looking to get out on water? Sugar Creek, which runs through the park, is one of the most popular canoeing, kayaking and tubing destinations in the state!

Fort Harrison State Park
Located only 20 minutes from downtown Indianapolis, Fort Harrison State Park (also known as Fort Ben) is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. There is no shortage of hiking trails and picnic spots. Love animals? You can ride horses here or you can even bring your furry friend along for a visit to their dog park!

Brown County
Brown County is just one hour south of Indianapolis and is well worth the drive. Feel the need for some speed? There are around 30 miles of biking trails inside Brown County State Park. They even have fun activities such as ziplining, horseback riding and camping in Brown County. When you’re not enjoying all the many outdoor activities Brown County has to offer, head over to Nashville, IN for some delicious food and shopping!

Indiana Dunes National and State Parks
Did you know Indiana has beaches? Indiana Dunes National and State Parks are a great place to head if you are looking for a quick beach getaway, catch some rays and take a swim in Lake Michigan. You can also explore the many trails and massive sand dunes along the lakeshore. Don’t miss the sunset over Lake Michigan! This park is located about 2.5 hours north of Indianapolis.

Marengo Cave
Marengo Cave is one of the largest caves in Indiana. It’s located in southern Indiana, about 2.5 hours from Indianapolis. Experience this national landmark on one of their walking tours or put on a helmet and knee pads for one of their cave exploring tours!
