Yes! LIFT Academy accepts students from age 18 to 57 who are looking to pursue a career as a commercial pilot. In fact, many of our current students are career changers. LIFT fosters an environment of learning at all ages and encourages our students to pursue their passion no matter what age!

Yes. Ongoing drug and alcohol screening will be a part of your career as a pilot. The FAA can and will randomly select pilots at any time to ensure they are compliant with their drug and alcohol policies. Since we are preparing you for a career as a commercial pilot, we hold our students to these same standards.

Due to aircraft operational limitations, students taller than 6’3″ or weighing more than 240 lbs. may not be able to operate our training aircraft and, as such, may not be able to successfully complete all flight training at LIFT Academy. All students must be able to sit in the aircraft and reach all controls.

Yes, you can start at LIFT Academy if you already have your private pilot’s license and your private pilot’s license and your instrument rating.

Students can come to LIFT with their private or private and instrument flight ratings.

The LIFT application is free to fill out.
