In Boeing’s Commercial Pilot and Technician Outlook for the 20-year period between 2022 and 2041, Boeing said the global industry needed to recruit, train, and hire 610,000 new maintenance technicians.

The LIFT Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) Apprenticeship Program can be completed in as little as 36 months.

According to Boeing’s pilot and technician outlook report, the aviation industry is facing a demand of 769,000 A&P mechanics by 2038. This number is worldwide, but North America alone will have a demand for 193,000 mechanics. This is an extremely high number!

Interested people can apply for LIFT Academy’s Aviation Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship Program or Republic’s apprenticeship programs or enroll in an AMT school. They can also get their experience in the military and get their certifications when they complete their military service.

LIFT Aviation Maintenance Technician Apprentices earn $16/hour during their time in the apprenticeship. Once apprentices have passed their Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certifications, the average starting pay for Licensed A&P Technicians varies by base from $24 – $32.50
