LIFT Training and the Republic Airways Sponsorship: Two programs to launch your aviation career

If you are looking for a long-term career in commercial aviation, the LIFT Academy Professional Pilot Career Path Training Program and Republic Airways Sponsorship combine to offer a proven and direct route to achieve your dreams.

Professional Pilot Career Path Training Program

LIFT Academy, a flight school owned by Republic Airways Holdings Inc., trains candidates via their Professional Pilot Career Path Training Program. This program allows students, even those with no aviation experience, a direct and mapped out path to a career as a pilot at Republic Airways.

Students receive advanced training on all-Diamond fleet of aircraft, in-person instruction and a suite of simulators selected to meet different training needs. Students have access to these excellent resources throughout their training from day one. The entire training process, from their first day to graduation, can be completed in as little as 18 months for students in Indiana, and as little as 12 months for those in Galveston, TX, Myrtle Beach, SC, and Tuskegee, AL.

Republic Airways Sponsorship

LIFT Academy students can also participate in the Republic Airways Sponsorship program. This sponsorship provides funds to students who have committed to Republic to offset some of their post- and pre-graduation expenses.

What comes after graduation?

But the journey does not end there. After graduating, LIFT Academy helps pilots continue down the path to the flight deck.  LIFT graduates have multiple directions they can go in post-graduation including the CFI pathway and varied Part 135 pathways.

The CFI pathway allows LIFT graduates to earn their Certificated Flight Instructor (CFI) and Certificated Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) ratings and then they instruct other pilots while being paid to do so. Instructors on the CFI pathway receive a schedule of students at LIFT and teach maneuvers, principles and theories of flight and flight safety. Both the student and instructor build their flight hours required by the FAA to become an airline pilot as they train and learn. After reaching 1,500 flight hours, they then can advance to Republic Airways.

The different Part 135 pathways allow students to gain real world experience and earn while they fly. One of these paths, flying for Cape Air, has graduates building up to 500 hours before they fly with Cape Air as a First Officer. Once they have amassed 1,500 flight hours they upgrade to Captain and fly with Cape Air for another 12 months before landing at Republic Airways to continue their career.

If commercial aviation is your calling, the Republic Airways Career Pathway Program and Republic Airways Sponsorship at LIFT Academy partner to make your career dreams a reality.
