If you’ve ever dreamed of becoming a pilot, LIFT Academy’s Open Hangar events are your chance to explore that dream up close. These immersive experiences invite prospective students to step inside a real LIFT℠ airplane hangar and get a hands-on feel for what pilot training is all about.

From sitting in the cockpit of our training aircraft to flying a state-of-the-art simulator, attendees get a taste of life as a student pilot. But the Open Hangar is more than just a tour—it’s a gateway to your aviation future.

You’ll meet with admissions and finance staff who can walk you through the enrollment process and funding options. Representatives from our academic partners are also on hand to discuss how LIFT integrates with college programs. Plus, you’ll hear firsthand from LIFT graduates who are now Certified Flight Instructors, as well as those who’ve advanced to First Officer and Captain roles at Republic Airways.

Each event includes an in-person Exploratory Session, where members of the LIFT team guide you through the full scope of the LIFT Academy program—from training timelines to career pathways—and answer all your questions.

We regularly hold these in our campuses in Indiana, South Carolina, and Texas. Whether you’re just starting to explore aviation or ready to take the next step, the Open Hangar event is your opportunity to connect, learn, and launch your journey.
