LIFT Fly By Summer Camp Review
Here at LIFT Academy, we are excited to be able to provide opportunities for young students to explore the different opportunities offered in the aviation industry. Last month, we hosted our 3rd annual LIFT Fly By Summer Camp at our Indianapolis hangar. We welcomed 30 middle school campers to our hangar for a day of exciting, interactive activities all about aviation!
Campers started the day out at the LIFT hangar and were given the opportunity to take flight in our table top virtual reality simulators and our Diamond simulators. Next, campers were introduced to the different parts of plane as they built model airplanes. After testing out their model airplanes, campers learned about the different careers available in aviation during a career panel. The panel included professionals from corporate, a pilot, a flight attendant and a maintenance technician to share more about their background, how they got into aviation and their experiences in the industry. Finally, campers got to visit the Republic Airways Indianapolis Maintenance Hangar to learn all about Republic’s Embraer 170/175 aircraft!
