No matter where you choose to train, LIFT Academy campuses offer all students access to experienced instructors, premier flight training and a state-of-the-art fleet of Diamond training aircraft. So, how do you choose which location is right for you? Here is a brief summary of each of our locations to help you decide where you want to begin your path to commercial Pilot.
Students have trained at Indianapolis International Airport since we founded LIFT Academy there in 2018. Indianapolis International Airport is also the base of operation for Republic Airways, giving students the experience of training in the same conditions they might one day fly as a commercial Pilot for Republic Airways.
Through our flight school housing partner, Collegiate Housing Services (CHS), Indianapolis students can find affordable student housing throughout the city, with options only minutes away from the airport or the Republic Aviation Campus.
In Indianapolis, LIFT students will train at one of the best midsize airports in the nation and get a firsthand look at what life as a Republic Airways Pilot could be.
The ideal flying conditions of Myrtle Beach made it an obvious choice for one of our training schools. Students enjoy the oceanside living, and like Indianapolis, can find affordable student housing through CHS.
Myrtle Beach is also home to our LIFT Academy Aviation Center, a multi-purpose space that students can take advantage of for work and study opportunities. If you’re in the area, you can visit the training center to take a virtual flight and even connect with current LIFT students.
If you’re interested in training at our Myrtle Beach campus, the Aviation Center is a great place to really see what it might be like.
Our Galveston location also boasts incredible flying conditions for flight training. This campus opened in December 2023 and allows students to fly right along the Gulf of Mexico.
Galveston also allows students to live near one of the nation’s largest cities. In just about an hour, students can go from Galveston right to downtown Houston.
Through a partnership with Tuskegee University and Macon County, students can pursue the traditional LIFT Academy flight program or start their career as aviators through LIFT instruction while simultaneously pursuing academic programs at Tuskegee University.
The TU campus is not only beautiful, but the next generation of aviators will be able to train at Moton Field, the site of the historic Tuskegee Airmen.
The Tuskegee campus will be open for enrollment in Fall 2024.
